36-Year-Old Man And A Teen Boy Found Fatally Stabbed Inside UWS Building


A man and a teenager were discovered with many stab wounds in a building in the upper west side, New York. A 36-Year-Old man and a teenager died after they found stabbed on Thursday. They both died in the hospital due to their injuries.

Police Found Both Victims

Police were requested to appear at the 868 Amsterdam Avenue at about 8:40 p.m., and then they found the teen and the man with many stab wounds. Then they were brought to the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, but unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries.

Nothing is known about the killer till now, but the investigation is ongoing. There is no arrest done so far, and police are searching for the suspects, and they also requested everybody if they have any information so they can come forward to inform about it.

Murder Rate Increasing In New York City

In New York City, the murder rate is increasing despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as the government also imposed a lockdown for safety reasons. As per Dailynews, Eugene O’Donnell, who is a professor of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, talked about the crime which is happening during the lockdown.

He claimed that lockdown is likely performing as a pressure cooker, increasing anger, and making criminals more inclined to act out violently. The killings that happened in NYC arise from rivalries, the street fights, and narcotics conflicts.
