Illinois Man To Face Charges After Assaulting Media Reporter On Live TV

About The Incident

An Illinois man abused a television reporter on live TV a few days back, and now he is arrested. 20-year-old Eric Farina facing jail time for grabbing reporter named Gaynor Hall while she was narrating new updates on the live telecast.

Police Captured Eric For Assaulting Reporter

The cops caught Eric on his house on Sunday morning, and then he confessed to his crimes. The incident took place during the live shoot regarding wind damage on Saturday, Eric took the reporter around her shoulders and then verbally abused her, as per the police.

The police representative said in a statement: ‘Shorewood Detectives found Farina on Sunday morning at his home. Farina made a full confession and was put under arrest, bonded, and released.’

Charges And Punishments

The man was arrested and facing the charges of disorderly conduct and battery, as per the police. Eric was later freed on a $2,500 bond. This is not known if he has a legal description, or if he has enrolled in a plea.

Reporter Thanked Public On Facebook

The reporter earlier asked for the public’s help for identifying the attacker on Facebook. Now, she shared a post for thanking everyone for their support in recognizing him.

She said in a statement: ‘Thanks to your help, he was recognized and captured. Thank you all so much for your kind words and aid. I am ok, and I thank you more than you know’.
